Flint RiverQuarium

Flint RiverQuarium offers a wide variety of things to do and experience. I'd suggest to visit their website and check out the many events open to the public. They have the Imagination Theater available for movie viewing, and that space is amazing!

Given its name, it probably won’t be earth shattering news that this 54,000 square feet aquarium is located on the banks of the Flint River.nnThrough its various tanks it seeks to tell the story of the river, covering its entire 340-mile length from source to sea.nnIn total, the RiverQuarium provides a home for around 100 different species. Its largest tank stands in the open air and has a depth equivalent to a two-story building.nnIts 130,000 gallons were designed to create an ecosystem covering all the species that call the river their natural habitat. That said, the alligators and birds are both housed in separate enclosures – just in case.nnThe Flint RiverQuarium can be found in Albany, which lies roughly 40 miles west of Tifton.

Beautiful

Great fun for families. Enjoyed seeing the different habitats and animals. Went early during the day and it wasn't crowded.

It was great! Unfortunately not as many gifts in the gift shop, but I'm sure it will go up. They are redoing the alligator exhibit.
