The church is beautiful and very inviting. I started going here a few years back and really loved the environment. There are lots of opportunities to get involved in a lot of activities regardless of your age and I love love love that. They also offer amazing services. The reason why I only gave the church three stars is not because of the church but because of the counselor they have there. She is very unprofessional. In the beginning she was very nice and offered wonderful help and advice, but then things changed. I came in for couples counseling and it did not go well for a number of reasons which was fine. But when I came in again for a solo session, she admitted that she and another client of hers were making fun of my husband!!!! I don't know why she thought that was professional or appropriate. After that, I left the church all together and started attending somewhere else. I really miss the congregation but I just cannot go back.

I attended St. Teresa’s when I was in high school when it was in Richmond county and always enjoyed it and felt welcomed. After high school I moved to attend college and later law school. I decided to check out mass yesterday because I was in town visiting family. I have been attending catholic services for more than 40 years and have never had an experience as disturbing as yesterday. No one spoke to me and my five year old daughter. This was by far the most unwelcoming atmosphere I’ve ever been in. This is a prime example of why the Catholic Church is in decline. My daughter is not from Augusta and cannot understand why people would be so cold especially in a so called House of the Lord. I do not recommend this church to anyone unless they want to check out the architecture.

St.Teresa's is my longtime Parish. It's the only Catholic church in Columbia county and it's a beautiful campus at that.
