Well i absolutely love my classes and everyone there.we are like a small family. i love the fact that not everyone is selected to attend the training and i love the fact that a known working actor is taking time and money to help the next generation of actors and actress. Now if you are a soft person and you are looking for pats on the back and baby steps through everything, if you are overly sensitive to criticism then this is not the school or industry for you. I love Miss Sophia she tells it to you like it is not beating around the bush and the same with the instructors and Greg Alan. I grew up with a tough mother who showed tough love so this is home for me. I would recommend this school only to the strong, the dedicated and the dreamers.
This school is horrible and so unprofessional. They will take your money up front for classes and not hold up their end of the bargain. I paid for 3 months of classes for my daughter and I was promised that she could have skype sessions due to the fact that we were in a different state. My daughter never received her classes as promised, so I requested my money back. I was assured by the woman that works there that my refund would be put in the mail. That was 3 months ago and I still haven't received my money. The business has been totally unresponsive. I would not recommend anyone to attend this acting school. This is definitely not an honest and professional business. Please take your hard earned money somewhere else!
This place has been a blessing to my life in a short amount of time. I wish this was the first place I came to when I moved to Atlanta. GregAlan and Ms Sophia keep it real and equip you with tools that will enable you to succeed.
Actor's Breakthrough is such an appropriate name for this studio. My acting coach, GregAlan, will work you and work with you until you, the actor, finally get your breakthrough! He is someone who cares. He is not some washed-up, outdated has-been who's attempting to make a living off of broke actors hoping to find their way into the business. He is still very much active in the field, still in demand, still auditioning, still landing parts, still working and earning an income in the industry! Who better to coach/educate me than someone who hasn't just read about it in a book, but who is actually DOING IT right now? Time is never wasted during our class sessions; but also, you never feel like he's rushing ANYONE faster than they might be able to catch on. He is very personable, approachable, and available for any questions you might have. You can see that he is passionate about what he is doing, whether he's in front of the camera or in front of our class; and he is willing to work with you until you get it! I struck gold when I decided to try Actor's Breakthrough, and GregAlan is the coach who REALLY cares!nnAlso, I do not want to neglect mentioning how awesome the entire staff at Actor's Breakthrough Studio is. Great customer service is obviously a top priority in this establishment. Great customer service is first and foremost in my book, and they keep me coming back often. They actually make it hard to leave every week! Sometimes, some of us just like hanging around! lol
I was very impressed when my cousin told me and referred me to what I thought was a great acting school till ADULT drama affected my daughter. I had paid a little bit less then 350 dollars for two months of acting class you would think for that amount of money you would get updates without having to ask how your child was doing. But I let that go seen I was seen how much my child looked up to Mr. Williams and his agency and loved the classes. Then came the adult drama by the lady that runs his classes ms Sophia. I'm a single parent and work two jobs so my cousin was the one dealing with my child and the classes. Ms Sophia was so threaten by her and a book that was given to her that my cousin wrote to give to Mr. Williams from that day things were not the same. Inspite of my cousin talking to ms Sophia to clear up any miss communication she would not communicate with her she would roll her eyes at her, she would stare her down etc. So my cousin went to talk to Mr. Williams about the situation and he agreed that it was NOT the first time this kind if situation happened so he told her from now on you communicate with me about my daughter. My daughter had been hired for a roll and HE had told her how he was going to help her get ready for it. Had set up two appointments with us so he can help her get ready. All for nothing cause The next morning my cousin got a txt from Mr. Williams saying that unfortunately he would not be able to help my child out or that his agency would be representing her. Which left us speechless. My cousin made several attempts to reach out to Mr. Williams with no respond or any explanations on why the decision was made. When just the night before he had promised my child to help her. I'm still left lost for words that because of a grown women feeling some kind of way about another woman my child was dropped from his classes and agency and giving no explanation as to why. This happen about a week ago and I still cannot find how to tell my child why she won't be back. My child gets on his website and with so much excitement she talks about him and his company. I think it's EXTREMELY unprofessional how he has treated my child. He congratulate her on his Facebook page and now it has taken it down. WHAT does an innocent child have to do with ADULT drama. I would say NOT a damn thing. I will not take that Mr. Allen is an excellent teacher but the way he handled this is not acceptable. So if you decide to put your child in his acting class make sure that Ms. Sophia is not threaten by you or that will be the end for you at his company
