Pinellas County Courthouse

We had always planned on going to the Courthouse to get married this year, but with the pandemic, we wondered how the process would go. After checking their website, we saw that we could apply for our marriage license online and save some time at the courthouse, so we did just that.nnWe then went to the courthouse the next week (make sure you save the application number that you applied with online!). We got there early and took a number. One person working saw there was a couple of us in line and she came out asking what each of us were there for. When we told her marriage license, she handed us a clipboard to fill out our information and helped the people behind us as well. It was very organized from the beginning.nnAfter that, we sat down with Juami who talked us through the process and verified our information. She asked us when we planned on getting married and we told her we wanted to come in the following Friday. She advised that the early mornings right when they opened are usually the least busy and walked us through the process entirely. As someone with anxiety in new situations, I appreciated that she took the time to walk us through everything so I knew exactly what to expect when we came in.nnWhen we came in the following week, right when they opened, there was barely anybody in line and we walked right in. We had someone new who was training (it took a little longer, but she tried her best and we were patient) and told them we were here to get married. Since we had more than 1 person, we had to do it outside due to COVID which was nice anyways. The area where they perform services is beautiful, shaded, and lots of open space. The ceremony was quick, but well-done and while we took some photos as a family outside, they filed the record. By the time we were done, so were they.nnWe were in and out, and everyone was extremely warm and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better way to get married during a pandemic that kept everyone safe without compromising a nice ceremony.
