We're from Louisiana so while we're used to sandy/dirt beaches, it was mostly rocks which was weird BUT better than a sand beach with twigs and trees growing up through everything. It was nice, very crowded on Labor Day but still found a decent spot at the last minute. We went swimming in the Hailstone area which is where you end up if you type in "Jordanelle State Park" on Google. We will definitely be back! Water was cold but to be expected in this part of the country!

So... Maybe I'm just looking for a less crowded boating experience. We took our boat here to test it on the water, and for launching, price, and ramp access it was fine. On the water though it was hard to find a place that wasn't so choppy that we could open it all the way up. This was mostly due to other boaters that were doing "wake surfing" around us. I'm not one to knock a good time, and it seems like a lot of fun, but if you are looking for somewhere to water ski this isn't there lake for that.

We made the best of it! There were many pros and a few cons. Pro: very nice set up, fire pit, grill, and picnic table. Con: no shade (site #111) no trees close enough to shade the area or hang a hammock. Pro: walking distance to the lake. Con: very rocky & not a good place to swim. Pro: This site was right next to the restrooms/showers. Con: the restrooms are on a steep hill, and at night the building’s lights shine right through the tent. Pro: friendly staff. Con: it got very loud at night, specially around 2am from other campers. You get what you make of it though!

This is a great hidden gem near Park City. The beaches are a bit rocky but decent. We arrived early around 8:30am and the crowds really didn't come until 10:30-11 so if you go early, you'll get a great spot. You can also rent water sport items and pavilions.
