Great location, we love the Ft. Walton area

I hardly ever leave bad reviews but this one deserved it. We go on a couple vacations every year with no trouble. We booked a condo with this company for the 4th -8th. We arrived about 5pm on the 4th and checked in to the condo. Upon entering the condo we noticed the latch that prevents the door from being opened on the inside had been removed/ripped off. I called and to let them know we have little kids (2 & 3) and we can not secure the door to prevent them from leaving the condo. They told me someone would be by the next day to replace it. That night we had to block access to the door so our kids would not leave the condo and we were ok with that since it was one night. Everything else was ok until we checked out.nI get a notice in my email that I was charged an extra $100 for (2) separate things. There was no description or reason why. I had to call and inquire about these extra charges totaling $200. We spent $2000 to stay for 4 days. The Manager of the condo finally sent me pictures of a couple spots on the curtains that we were charged $100 (My kids probably did it). I was ok with that charge but then she tried to tell me that the other $100 was because we smoked in the condo. That was just not true! I would never smoke with my kids in the condo and plus it clearly states you can’t smoke inside the building. The point of this review is she stopped responding to me and just charged me an extra $200 and wouldn’t even listen to reason. This experience was awful and this company should be ashamed of how they treat the people that pay their salaries. I will never stay with this company again and I will make sure to let everyone I know about how unprofessional this was to steal my hard earned money. Just a heads up, they will take it out of your account and just stop speaking to you. They stole my money but it won’t happen again!
