Great rates for the area. Amenities are simple but we'll kept. The surrounding woods and nearby pond are very nice in the fall and spring.

Don’t follow the posted rules. The reality is this park does take reservations. When the park is full you have the option to dry camp in the overflow/storage lot for $7 a day These overflow spots receive first priority when a spot opens up. We happened to roll in on Sunday and there was an empty spot. The office is closed so we followed the posted rules, set up in the spot, got our base pass and showed up at 8am on Monday morning to check in. This is when he says we can’t check in and have to move. Usually when a camper leaves they will put a cone in their spot with a sign saying this is reserved for an overflow priority person. The system broke down because a camper left early and the office is closed on the weekend so no one did anything. Simple problem to fix by taking reservations officially and posting this on their sign. This is not a first come first serve you’d expect. Be prepared to wait several weeks in overflow if you want a spot here.

Nice campground, but the constant threat of bears is a deterrent. The tick population at this campground far exceeds my limits. I was pulling at least 1 tick a day off myself and a half dozen off my dog. The bathrooms are always clean, and the sites are large. As a first come, first serve park you may spend more than 30 days in overflow since many of the park residents are living on site full time and working in the area. We only stayed a few days and were told that we were #3 on the wait list and it would be 30-45 days before a site could possibly be available.

Loved it. Very nice campground! Sure wish there were more sites and that there were not so many living there. Seemed like alot of dependents or SMs staying for the limit of 6 months, which does not leave many spots for those of us who would like to stay for a few days to a week. Hope to get a spot next year in October. Also, sure wish there was some WIFI. Very nice campground. Thank you.
