Backwater Cat Adventure

Wow, my husband and I had a blast! Bobby and Allen were great guides and lots of fun! The most exciting time we had on Amelia Island! If you're up for an adventure, this is the trip for you. Lots of speed, beauty and adrenaline! We saw the old Carnegie home, some wild horses and found some cool shells on Cumberland Island. I only wish we booked the trip at the beginning of our stay so we could have done it again! I would not suggest going if you are fearful of the water. Look forward to another trip on Backwater Cat Adventure next time we are there!nThanks again for a memorable experience.

We took the 2.5 hour tour today and it was great. It was a beautiful morning and we were able to see wild horses and dolphins. If you’re trepidatious about piloting a backwater cat, don’t be. Our guide Ben did a fine job walking us through it and it only takes a small bit of time to become acclimated. It is so much fun we hope to do it again sometime. Thanks to Ben and Backwater Cat!

This is the best excitment on the island. These boats are really fun. The tour was amazing we saw 35or 40 dolphins and some horse far away. The price is definitely worth it. The gentleman giving the tour is really cool and laid back. I definitely recommend this adventure to everybody. I did the 2.5 hr tour....

Did the 2.5 hour tour and had a blast. Cray was a very fun and informative guide. Driving the boats is pretty easy to get the hang of even for those with little to no boating experience. Boats were satisfyingly fast and had comfortable handling and stability. Received complimentary photos just a couple days afterwards. Great way to spend a beautiful afternoon on the water.

Can't say enough good things about Backwater Cat and the crew. Bobby and Allen are the best, and the experience was even better. The boats are a blast and even though the weather was questionable, we pushed through (safely and at our request) watched dolphins frolic, rode the waves, saw Fort Clinch up close and personal, and even did some saltwater donuts. Thanks for a great experience!
