My son attended a code explorers class about 2 years ago when we lived in Miami and it was the best thing that has happened in his schooling experiencennThe instructor for the robotics class he took instilled him a love for math and science that persist to this day. Prior to that class he had little excitement for school. He is about to graduate elementary and still tinkers with robotics and asks for books all the time

Had a great experience as an intern. Being able to give back to the community and share my love for them STEM fields with children, will forever be an experience that I will cherish.

I was an intern at Code Explorer this semester. Part of my responsibilities was to help design, code and modify the new website. From the layout to function and make it visually appealing as well as user-friendly. As an Information Technology student, I valued my time interning at Code Explorers, not only was I able to apply my knowledge on things I already knew but I learned so many new things that I haven't learned in school. I learned about SEO optimization, Web User Interface Design (UI), API's, CMS, and so much more. My experience at Code Explorer has been wonderful and I encourage students to do it if they can. There's nothing like hands-on learning, it helps you gain exposure and experience in the field making you more competitive in the job market. Thank you Code Explorers!

If I had the option of a negative rating, I would choose that.nThis is a summary of our experience with Code Explorers:n•tFailure to provide a safe learning environment for students.n•tEndanger the emotional wellbeing of a child.n•tLack of appropriate behavior management.n•tDid not provide the services offered (learn computer skills).nnOur son attended 2 different classes provided by Code Explorers as part of Enrichment Classes after school.nOur son was called STUPID by other kids while under the supervision of their instructors. They had pushed him and felt on top of the backpacks.nThe director of the program called me the day after the class. She stated she believed our son has a developmental delay (his correct diagnosis is Asperger’s and he attends general education classes). She complained that our son walked around and it was an inconvenience they would need to protect the ipads.nThe director or the program did not mention the bullying incident. Their “solution” to the problem was to isolate our son and let him spend the class playing games in the computer.nWhen my husband picked up our son from one of the classes (when we had no knowledge yet of the bullying incident), he saw our son playing at the computer by himself and there were 2 big kids fighting. The teacher had to get between these two kids and scream to get their attention. Our son had been playing Lego Ninjago the whole time, by himself.nBecause we feared for the safety of our son and because he was not learning anything as they were not teaching him anything, we pulled out our son from these classes, we were told they would refund our money, which we have not received yet.nI contacted Code Explorers several times and they have never called me not responded to my e-mails. I was just trying to get them to understand how devastating the experience our son had in their classes, but it looks like they don’t care.
