They rarely answer the phone. I don't know how else we are supposed to get information with permitting and plans review within the same day.nThey also close for lunch... They should hire more TRAINED people if they want productivity and efficiency.nAt least, once you are inside the building department, it is easier to get things done and communicate with the staff.
Sad to rate a one star, but City officials forget they are working for the tax payers and not the other way around. Very rude attitude was given from a Building Department official while trying to apply for a permit.
You guys close at 3:15 but since 2:30 stop answering the phones... that's a nice way of spending people's taxes, not good at all people.
I give them 1 star because it's impossible to give them 0. ..... Horrible customer service, terrible communications, unclear instructions, disastrous bureaucracy.....
City of Hialeah hands down, has got to be the worst building department in the State of Florida, if not the USA. Scheduled an inspection and the inspector never knocked on our door and left within 5 minutes of arriving to our site. When you call, no one answers and when they do its very difficult to understand them, let alone try to solve any issues. They close very early and overall very poor service.
