My name is Brittany S. I applied for section 8 and was put on the waiting list on 2015 and have checked it every month for 5 years! When they sent letters asking if I still wanted to be on the list I replied back. When I moved I updated my address and phone number each time. When I gave birth to my daughter April 2nd 2020 I contacted to update that with them. When the 3 and 4 bedroom housing waiting list opened I applied. All of a sudden I got all the way to 60 on the section 8 waiting list and I WAS REMOVED AND NOT PLACED ON THE HOUSING WAITING LIST. I sat patiently for years for section 8 to help with housing. I have called multiple times to find out why I was removed once I got so close to the assistance. I am heart broken after waiting for so many years and then no one will contact me back. I have left voicemails time after time!

I am a public housing tenant. I experienced another public housing tenant who threatened my life, and is still living here, without any consequences. Interestingly enough, she is Under housed, and should be considered for a four bedroom apartment, but Housing authority doesn’t care. Also, I had mentioned a tenant who smokes marijuana, on a regular basis. The smell is apparent, even outside of apartment. They don’t care about this either. They are the epitome of Slum lords.

I have been trying for 2 weeks to get somebody to explain to me an issue with a payment I have not received for my tenant. Have been put to several different voice mails and nobody has bothered to return my call. Good luck working with this office.nnIt has now been 3 weeks and even leaving voice mails, nobody has called me back. Not run well at all.

As a business owner of multiple rentals I will be pulling out of the hud program. Answering machine states leave 1 message do to the call volume. That would make sense if Cheryl Young would return my phone calls at all. I have very simple questions that could be resolved if she would call me back. It’s been a week and a half and still no return calls. I’ve left 2 messages. I will be forced to send an eviction notice to a tenant and have her and her family removed do to your unability to return calls. Simple communication is the key to anything.
