I scheduled a service appointment for my gas fireplace that Fireplace Etc had installed for us many years ago. I was given an appointment time between 10:30 and noon on Aug 29, 2019. Shortly before noon I called the office to find out about our tech since we had not heard anything. I was told that the project the tech had been doing prior to coming to me had some complications and so was taking longer. Understandable. I was told the tech would come between 1-4. As the afternoon passed I again called the office since I had not heard anything. I was told the tech wouldn’t make it that day but would come the next day. The next day I finally got a call from the tech around 1 saying he was coming but my address wasn’t coming up on GPS. He then informed me that the office had told him I was in Park City, when in fact I lived in Utah County. He said he wouldn’t be down today so I called the office and was told the soonest they could reschedule me after they missed 3 appointments was September 10. That day came and no tech came. I placed 3 or 4 calls to the office. No one answered, messages were left and no phone call ever returned. You draw your own conclusions.
We had an appointment scheduled early yesterday to get a bid but no one ever showed up and no one called.
Totally outstanding! We had an old wood burring fire place replaced with a gas unit. The fireplace was embedded in stone and I needed the new fireplace to sit a tad higher to line up with a TV to the right of it. These guys cut out the rock to the exact location to minimize tear down, and replacement. The fire place looks beautiful, and works like a charm. I highly recommend Fireplaces ETC in Heber City. If you are looking to get a fireplace done these are the folks to call, there is no better choice. and people to deal with! Timely too, we got the fireplace installed in two days, including gas connection.
I arranged for a service call with Fireplaces Etc.'s Heber location a few years ago and all went well. Then, over the last year (fall 2013 to fall 2014), I attempted, on and off, to arrange another service call and, man, what a bother. I had to make upwards of a dozen calls to get through, to then get a time scheduled, to then reschedule after the technician canceled, and then canceled again. I then left a voicemail for the management recounting the difficulties I was having with scheduling, but received no call back. You would think that a business like this would be very reliable with appointment setting and management, but that's definitely not the case. Beware.
