Great family atmosphere. Love the fishing here, plenty of places to fish from shote without having to pay a fee.

This was a great spot to launch our kayaks. I enjoy kayaking lakes, but I find the most interesting things around the edges and in inlets. I started just paddling around the lake, but soon ended up in the Northeast corner. It was interesting for it is like a kelp like forest. They have mossy stems and then res and green oval leaves float on the surface. My husband and I then headed to the furthest Northeast corner and there is a bridge there you can paddle under. This put us in the Provo River and it is a great little spot for fishing. We paddled under the bridge and Bam...my husband had a nice big beautiful trout. I found it fun to cast out and then paddle slowly upstream. I caught a small mouth bass that way. This area kept me entertained. The current is not too strong and there are lots of spots on the sides that you can hang out that is out of the current. I saw some gorgeous birds one with a really bright yellow head and another tan and white bird and they were poking around in the mud searching for bugs. I saw a beaver or a river otter swim in front of me, and there was the fun of pushing hard upstream to see how far up the river you could get and then riding the current back down. It was a delightful place to hang out for the evening.
