Really neat place. The way its downstairs and hidden along with the fire places going make it really cozy. Great food. The owner is really nice and will take her time to talk with anyone. She is extremely involved in the front of the house. All around fun place to go. Try the Cajun fish fry. I have never had a fish fry so good in my life.
The restaurant is reopened and it is AMAZING! Everything is homemade right down to the soups and salad dressings. Its hard to find a place these days where you aren’t rushed to drink, eat and run out the door. It was a true dinning experience.
We really loved our stay on Carlin Lake. It was so incredibly quiet. The room was beautiful and so clean with a wonderful stone fireplace and plenty of firewood! The view from our room was breathtaking. We rented the pontoon boat and saw eagles and loons and caught tons of fish in the crystal clear lake. If you need to relax Carlin Club lodge is the place to be! Betsy the owner was so very kind and caring! We will be back!
The restaurant attached to the lodge is no longer in operation. However, the lodge is still open for overnight guests. We have been staying here for the past few summers and love it. The owners are very personable and make every effort to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Carlin Lake is beautiful, so be sure to get a lake view room. They also rent out the house on the property as well. A group of us stayed there a few years back and enjoyed the real log cabin experience. The story behind the lodge is enjoyable too.
Very good! So glad to see this place open again. Miss their salad bar.
