I honestly think that this school is not that bad especially the teaching methods are great the only thing I would do is just say that it could be a little more strict in some parts I have had many classes where there are just a group of kids that are always loud and obnoxious which takes away form the class learning I know it is still nice to have fun in the class but sometimes it just gets to the point that it needs to be dealt with. Plus we need to get a better hall system in between classes if you have gone to this school you know what I mean.

Its a good school, some of the teachers treat the students like 1st graders and some of them just suck. I like the little shop thing they use. The principal is just amazing. Students are not the nicest. Its better than some other schools in places like Detroit. There is gum EVERYWHERE

I am writing this review under a psuedonym. I attended Wahlquist Jr. High in the late 90's and early 2000s and later grew up to be a published e-book author. That is what I have done with my life after attending Wahlquist Jr. High. A lot of people have a painfully awkward time in jr. high with pimples sprouting, they get braces and undergoe strange bodily changes. I was no different. My braces were tightened on the first day of school at Wahlquist all those years ago and there was no one to sit with at lunch. I was bullied and threatened by girls here, and asked to fight some. I became depressed for the first time, yet I survived somehow. In physical and emotional pain, I survived this school, but barely. Yet I have a lot of painfully nostalgic, bittersweet memories of this place. My first school dance, the name of the boy I danced with, a strange, manly gym teacher... all memories from Wahlquist Jr. High. Joining the drama club and sobbing when I made callbacks but didn't get the part... Studying the civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome here... The building that comprises the school is ancient (it dates back to thethe 1940's) and contains an underground bomb shelter, due to its construction in the WWII era. The pipes were also always breaking at this school so it gave off a strange odor. We all joked about the way this place smelled back in the 90s. I don't know if they've remodeled it now. I remember track meets and alternative 90s girls with sarcastic attitudes and I attended the school when the band Creed was popular so I have a lot of memories of concerts. Good old Wahlquist Jr. High. I'm a college graduate now but this is the school that I remember the most. When I look at pictures of the school now I can see that it HAS been remodeled and looks nothing like it did back in the 90s when I went there. I almost committed suicide while at this school, but many authors have once been suicidal. Pain is an author's balm and reservoir. The story of my jr. high years at Wahlquist resembled the mini series "13 Reasons Why," only unlike Hannah Baker, I didn't die.

I started Jr. High here. One entire hour of our schooling was "advisory" and it was essentially free time to do whatever you want and most students just watched a movie. And if you couldn't find a movie or group to join you would have to write a two page essay on responsibility.

It is an okay school but there are way too many people, some of the teachers are nice but this school does not treat students like they are young adults. They treat people with very little respect.
