Please do not take your young child here to get their ears pierced, go to a professional piecing studio. My daughter took my 1 year old granddaughter to get her ears pierced at the Claire's Newgate Mall location. The lady that helped my daughter was super nice and really tried her best. However, that is not the reason why I am giving one star. During the process of piercing my granddaughter's ears, the piercer kept malfunctioning to the point my granddaughter's ear pieced halfway and it had to be done again, not a great experience with a 1 year old! It ended up causing one of the piercings to be uneven compared to the other ear. When I called in to talk to someone about it, again they were very understanding and nice about it and told us we could come back at no charge to have the piercing fixed; we just needed to take the piecing out and wait a few days for it to heal. My granddaughter went a bit with only one earring in and then it came time to try again. Again, very nice employees however, they NEVER fixed the malfunctioning piercer or removed it from use so when they tried to pierce my granddaughter's ear again, it malfunctioned causing the piercing to only go halfway through yet again!!! My granddaughter had to endure multiple attempts AGAIN. It makes me wonder how the employees are trained for piecing and if they even check the equipment that is being used. For the price that you pay for ear piercing at Claire's, you could go to a professional piercing studio and insure proper technique, equipment, and save your young child the unpleasant experience of Claire's.

Came here to get my daughters ears pierced (age 6) the lady was so friendly. Gave us alot of info to help keep them clean & also sent us with her phone # incase we had questions after we left. Id definitely recommend. Plus everything in there is tooo cute to pass up.

No appt needed. The lady piercing our ears: nice, friendly, kind, understanding. Mom & 16 yr old git ears pierced. No problems. 👍👍👍

At first it was an amazing experience! The young man working there was super nice and informative about the ears piercing! He talked super kind to my niece! Then when the lady came over to pierce my nieces ears it went down hill from there! My niece was super nervous! The young lady acted rushed and extremely rude! My niece was very nervous, this lady should not be allowed to work with small children! She basically said in few words let me pierce your ears or get out of my chair! Very disappointed we walked out with earrings in had but ears not pierced! I think if the lady would have just taken a moment and explained and talked kindly to my niece, we would have walked out with earrings in her ears not a bag!

Cashier told me and 2 other customers to try looking at hot topic, didnt seem interested in selling or trying to upscale anything to anyone and I was looking to make an alien costume so literally anything couldve been suggested if it had glitter lol
