For years...I am now 71...I have played lots of sports from tennis to golf and had my share of back pain. My issue is a lousy SI joint with sciatica pain. I was even driven three years ago to get SI joint injections of pain killer and cortisone. But once I feel better, I generally forget the exercises. So in the summer of 2014 I showed up at Lane LaClair's office in Union Grove. We have a summer home in Wisconsin and the golf is great but my SI joint is always suspect and the unique twisting motion in a golf drive is just really tough on my lower back. So, after some researching for a really good, highly trained sports therapist in Wisconsin I found Lane LaClair. He is a U. of Chicago graduate, a great golfer and I found him to be the best PT I have ever seen. Excellent diagnosis, and intensive stretches and workouts that led me to a rapid recovery. He just doesn't keep you around to bill the insurance company. Good facilities, very supportive staff and Lane to pull and prod and get me up and going. I give him an unqualified recommendation for his professionalism and practice...with a nice touch of empathy that you can get only from an accomplished athlete who has felt the same pain as you. Good luck to all seniors who want to get better and Alliant Physical Therapy is the place to go. They are just tops.nnProf. of Law, Donald W. Garner, Faulkner University School of Law.
