I think these men and women don't get enough credit. Going on long periods with minimal to no sleep constantly doing their BEST TO SAVE lives is no easy task and every day is a bit better than another. I really truly believe that these men and women are some serious heroes in our community and it saddens me to see that they don't NEARLY enough credit as they should. If everyone could just walk a mile... Shoot even half a mile then I bet there would be some understanding. So ending on that note I THANK ALL OF YOU!!!! SIDE NOTE FOR STATION 3: Y'ALL ARE MY DOGS HERO AND MINE AND HE NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER MISSES A CHANCE TO LET FOLKS KNOW SOMETHING IS WRONG! (ITS PRETTY ADORABLE, HES EVEN GOT A HAT) Keep strong men and women!!!

A person with several chronic health conditions happened to have 3 issues in three days, one of those was following discharge instructions from ER, with signs of a possible stroke. And one was signs of getting heat exhaustion again. The person was on the floor with pulse and respiration showing signs of distress. The ambulance attendants tell this person not to call so much, just because the issues came close together. Situation 1: A person with history of weakness episodes falls, hits head and cannot get up due to severe neck pain with movement. Situation 2: A person who had been seen in ER earlier in the day and was experiencing the symptoms for which the ER had told her to return. In addition to that she was experiencing symptoms and SIGNS of a possible stroke/TIA according to the FAST acronym and a stroke scale evaluation done by a licensed EMT. This person also has a history of possible TIA's. Situation 3: it is a hot day. A person with a history of weakness episodes and a recent history of heat exhaustion falls out of her wheelchair. She is unable to get up. She gets more tired and weaker by the moment. A licensed EMT notices that her pulse is low and dropping while her respiration is increasing and becoming more shallow. The Ogden EMT's get upset at the person for calling an ambulance for these reasons because they happened in a three day period. Any one of those situations could be presented to EMT students and the answers would all be the same, call EMS. So why is that person being punished for doing so?!
