Don't have insurance offerd to pay in cash/card at the time if my appointment and they denied me! Ive got terrible mental health and I just want to see the therapist I really connect with but can't due to not having insurance even when I will pay them at my appointment myself?? ?makes no sense not to take payment.
Just because they are closing doesn’t mean they should treat patients badly. What ever you do don’t deal with dr. Frieda! Worst PA ever. No bedside manner terrible social skills couldn’t take care of you if she wanted too! Acts like your not important and always late for her appointments by 15 minutes for every appointment I’ve had with her. Terrible she’s just terrible or if I could give negative Stars I would. I am so extremely frustrated with Alliance! Upon my NP’s advice, I took Alliance’s genetic test to find out which medications would likely work best for my depression. In the past three months I’ve seen two different PAs (not psychiatrists) and been prescribed six different medications and have experienced side effects from all of them. I get it that my depression is treatment resistant, but since becoming a patient there, I’ve only gotten worse. I’ve missed work, and at times been unable to leave the house. One of the providers had me discontinue meds altogether (I’ve been on meds for 20 years) and a week or so later I completely crashed and was unable to even function. I called to try to get an “urgent” appointment. I was told they would call back at the number I provided. I sat with that phone in my hand for four hours desperately waiting for a call from them only to find out (after their office closed for the day) that they had called the other number in my file, not the number I gave them! Another time I called to leave a message for my PA about side effects and (of course) my call was answered by an automated system. In order to leave a message, I had to go through EIGHT menus. EIGHT!! Upon my frustration, I called the scheduling desk to just ask them to take my phone number and have someone call me. I was told that they are not allowed to do so, and then I was directed back into the automated system. All of this would be frustrating enough for someone in good mental health, but many of their patients (myself included) are struggling with some major mental disorders. Their ONLY saving grace in my opinion is the therapist that I’ve been seeing. If not for her, I’d cut ties with Alliance completely.
I heard really good things about this place from a co-worker and honestly I was really looking forward to going here. I just started a new job and don't have my insurance info just yet, but I wanted to schedule an appointment now because I'll have it by the time I would be seen. They wouldn't even speak to me after I told them I didn't have my cards yet and wouldn't let me schedule. The guy talked over me and was quite ride. Maybe I'm blessed because if they treat people they know have mental health issues like this before even walking in the door, who's to say what the actual treatment would be like. I'm so disappointed.
I have been a patient here for a few years and have received “so-so” care. There has been a lot of negative experiences, and a lot of positive ones. They have a medical assistant, Nate, who is just phenomenal. I recommend requesting him for all appointments and phone calls. He makes every experience great and makes everything run smoothly. I have family and friends that go here that all say the same! The doctors seem genuine and knowledgeable but are always so rushed to get you out, but that’s health care. Overall I think the care I’ve gotten has been good and my mental health has really improved. Please reach out to them if you need help!
