Dr. Siahpush has been the most effective and influential medical professional I have had the privilege of working with. If you research his credentials, you will find Dr. Siahpush has decades of experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and a multicultural education. His expertise in psychiatry and neurology have helped me not only understand my illnesses and behavior, but also how they influenced the development of my brain patterns. As a client working with any skilled doctor, what you put into treatment is what you will get out of treatment. As a patient dealing with an illness that has been historically difficult to treat, Dr. Siahpush has continued to treat me with empathy, optimism, and kindness. Even during my worst moments of treatment when I had been unfriendly, skeptical, and resistant, his continued patience and understanding allowed me to develop a trusting working relationship with him. He has been generous and flexible with his schedule to accommodate my appointments, and gone out of his way to support me in times of crisis. After two years of working together, I am proud to say I have graduated college with a bachelor’s of science, am pursuing a fulfilling career, and have made significant modifications in my behavior, relationships, and lifestyle. As we continue our work together, my desire to live a meaningful life strengthens as I reach goals I never thought I could attain and work towards new ones. I would recommend Dr. Siahpush to anyone who has a strong desire to improve their quality of life, as I have made more progress with him in these past two years than the multiple mental health professionals I had worked with in the past. When reading negative reviews, I think it is important to be mindful that some new clients have unclear or unrealistic expectations of mental health treatment. Mental health professionals cannot “fix” our problems. Even if we have not created all the problems in our lives, it is our job as the client to fix them. We go to mental health professionals to gain tools and skills to problem solve. It is up to us, as the client to do the work. Due to privacy and the sensitive nature of our sessions, I appreciate that Dr. Siahpush does not utilize a medical assistant to sit and transcribe for him during appointments. He takes these notes electronically himself and in my opinion, this has helped create a stronger sense of trust and confidentiality in my treatment with him. Sometimes as a client it can feel upsetting when we expect a stronger reaction or display of sympathy from our doctor during sessions, however I have learned that as a client it is important to consider there is good reason for this. Dr. Siahpush is well-practiced in masterfully providing effective responses to best encourage the stage and goal I have been at in my treatment. His keen observations of non-verbal communication such as body language and eye contact has provided accurate insight into my mental states during sessions. I think too often we as clients expect our doctors and therapists to treat us as “friends”, but if we always received the reassurance and validation we desired how would we learn to progress and build the strength to stand on our own two feet? If you feel confused or dissatisfied with your treatment, advocate for yourself by asking questions. Dr. Siahpush is excellent at providing explanation and evidence for his recommendations and treatment methods. If I could give anyone in important piece of advice it would be to take notes during appointments, work hard, and give it time. I like to make the comparison of mental health professionals to an exercise coach or personal trainer. If you’re not frustrated with them from time to time, their probably not doing their job! To anyone looking to create lasting improvements to their quality of life, I wouldn’t recommend anyone other than Dr. Siahpush.

It is difficult to believe that he is a real psychiatrist!nHe stares at his computer the whole time during your appointment. He doesn't seem to have any idea how to connect with people.nNot helpful at all ! Overcharges my insurance Company for what he actually does.. I would not recommend this person to anyone!
