Interesting quick museum experience. Basement is really cool for kids, and the Lake Michigan table could be fun for a long time. Balcony overlooking harbor is beautiful. Nice building, and staff was helpful. Bonus points for safety precautions to minimize germ spread.
This museum is small but mighty! Port Exploreum uses sophisticated, high tech displays, as well as simple low tech, hands-on displays to provide multi-generational input.nnThe museum is located downtown in Port Washington near parks, two lighthouses, a marina, shopping, and great restaurants. Port Washington has everything to keep family members happy. We had a great day.
I'm sorry but we went ot check this out and it was not good, $15 for 3 people to walk around for 15 mins and look at nothing, most of the interactive things were not working and the ones that did were not interesting, definitely would not keep kids interested. Wouldnt go back even if it was free. Sorry. Only gave it a star cause this wouldnt post without a rating.
The Port Exploreum was such a wonderful place to have our wedding rehearsal dinner! Amy is so amazing to work with and was so accommodating! We had plenty of room upstairs to create our own buffet style meal and the layout of tables and chairs was easy to navigate through. The upstairs balcony is such a nice feature that our guests were able to enjoy on the nice evening. Not only did the kids love exploring through the museum, but the adults did too! It was so fun to see the entire space being utilized. We love this “hidden gem” and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an event space! Can’t beat the price, the view, the exhibits, and the staff (especially Amy)!!
One of the coolest places every family should visit! history meets technology here and it's amazing!
