Hats off to the town of SHIOCTON! Everyday that I pass thru this town on my way to work, the crossing guards are out to safety get their youth to school, while a patrol car sits near the safety zone, enforcing the required 20mph zone when children are present.nBut tonight, in a time when most children are required to do their trick or treating during the safety of daylight hours; the sidewalks here are packed with large groups of costumed youth, after dark. At every intersection there are patrol cars and firetrucks sitting with flashing lights and volunteer staff that are standing at the ready to provide safety in crossing the street and monitoring their safety throughout their Halloween adventures! Shiocton youth must feel highly highly valued! This little town has my respect!
