A nice museum of local history. It does include a cubicle dedicated to Sam Campbell, but is not worth a long trip if you are familiar with his book series. Finding a local ski club and renting a boat to go see their island home and walking the Sam Campbell Memorial Trail will do much more to round out your trip.
I really enjoyed this local history museum. My family has been enjoying the summer in Three Lakes for 50 years, but 1st time here. I suggest it to anyone who enjoys local history.
Really was better than I thought. What we saw of it. Several of the buildings were closed. But it was a pretty dead time and we did not ask them to Open up.
Very nicely done, knowledgeable volunteers.
