The staff is courteous and the horses were very well behaved. I had not ridden in over two decades, and was nervous because I have an arthritic hip and cannot mount a horse normally. They have mounting steps where necessary so it was never an issue. The scenery was beautiful, and for the entire time I could relax and just listen to the gently creak of saddle leather. A break came just when I needed it. Everything was just right. Looking forward to coming back!
We took our 6 year old twins and they were able to ride the ponies on the trail with no issues. The horses are very well trained and sweet. The ones leading and helping during the ride were very sweet and knowledgeable.
Had a perfectly enjoyable long trail ride through beautiful scenery on wonderful, well cared for horses!
This establishment is not a place for African-Americans to patron. My family was camping at a nearby cabin resort and decided to pick this place for horseback riding suggested by our resort. When we arrived no one greeted us. When we asked a customer where are the workers they pointed us in the direction to go. The hostess, I believe Cathy came out of the house and began yelling at our family members angrily. Then she allowed her dog to run up on our children who were frightened. We decided to not use their services because of the rude behavior we encountered with the host. I wouldn’t advise anyone of color to use this facility!!!
My sister-in-law and I were camping nearby with our children. When we got there, the volunteers were great and very friendly! Our kids were excited and a little nervous to ride the horses. We all got saddled up along with another family. Kathy (the owner) was very rude to us. It made us very uncomfortable and scared the kids. They were nervous to make a mistake. It started pouring and she acted like we should go on the ride any way. We were drenched and led the horses back. She was yelling at the kids and giving commands to adults using a tone that was so disrespectful. Unless you are an experienced horse back rider, she has NO tolerance, no patience, and no respect. I would not recommend this place at all!
