Builders Materials

We live in Santa Fe, but our installing plumber suggested we buy our gas log set at Builders in Albuquerque. Despite the drive, we were 100% pleased with our experience. Aside from their extensive line of Harwood log sets, this is the place to go for high-end materials to build a fireplace or purchase stone facing for your mansion. Owner Zane and his two sons are pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable and run their business like a well-oiled machine.

Zane and his crew are extremely helpful and will bend over backwards to point you in the direction you want to go...even if that means going with another product line elsewhere. My wife and I have been designed a fireplace for a couple months and Builders Materials has the best selection around. When we couldn't find the exact color my wife wanted, we went up to Santa Fe to see if we could find other product lines. We couldn't find anything up in Santa Fe so we asked them what other locations would they recommend. Two of the Santa Fe stores recommended Builders Materials in Albuquerque (not knowing that's where we started)! When we did find a stone sample we liked, Zane was open to bringing in the new product line (from Ohio) to Albuquerque for more a wider selection for the New Mexico customer support base. That says a lot about how Zane runs his business and how he supports New Mexico. He is now our go-to guy for all future business.

Very knowledgeable and friendly. Great displays of products and great selection. Very helpful even for people who only do smaller projects.

Builders Materials ordered our Vermont Castings Intrepid II and it arrived exactly as promised. When I was setting up the stove, I discovered a small problem with the casting that made it difficult to mount the legs. One of their staff drove the 200-mile round trip from Albuquerque to our home, corrected the problem and mounted the legs. Great service, responsive and knowledgable sales team, and always helpful if I call with a question. Their follow through with any of our after-sale needs have always been met. I highly recommend them!
