Dr. Jerrod Long

(Long Review) I normally don't leave extended, detailed reviews. But I need to provide some context. I've been to many dentists throughout the years, from the high end celebrity dentist in Beverly Hills, prison dentists, mid-range dentists, Mexico, etc. Every tooth in my mouth has had some work done to it; fillings, crowns, root canals, etc. Probably spent over $50,000 so far. I was previously using a local dentist in Sierra Vista. Didn't have any problems or complaints with them, they are good and competent, and did participate in a discount program which made the work cost about half price, almost on par with Mexico prices. (The only reason I don't go to Mexico anymore is because I'm difficult to get numb as I get older, and I sometimes need additional anesthesia such as nitrous oxide, which isn't offered in Mexico). However, I did have one issue with the local dentist. When replacing a gold crown on #18, the dentist drilled away some of my gum, exposing one of my impacted molars which made it erupt and become infected. (I'd never had a problem with it before). It wasn't malpractice by the dentist, it's just one of those things that sometimes happens. But it has caused some severe pain and discomfort, as well as an expensive surgical extraction from the oral surgeon in the near future. I also needed an extraction of #30, which had an old filling that had come out. The dentist recommended an expensive root canal and crown, but I opted for an extraction instead. After receiving several injections, the dentist began to extract the tooth and I could still feel it. He stopped and gave me a referral to oral surgery. Instead of going to the oral surgeon, I decided to give Dr. Long a try at extracting my tooth. Even though he doesn't accept the discount plan, his prices are still cheaper than most dentists, and only slightly higher than my discount plan or Mexico. Dr. Long had been a customer at my business for a few years. I always liked him and we got along very well. He has great reviews online, and doesn't seem to mind talking shop and taking the time to explain everything in great detail. Well, Dr.Long got me numb and extracted the tooth painlessly. He's my regular dentist now and I'm not going anywhere else.

We have both felt like we found the best ever Dental Team since we met Dr Long last year! He is the most caring Doctor we have ever met, and has the best staff! 5 Stars!!

I've never been to a more welcoming dental atmosphere than I have here. All of the staff members are incredible, helpful, and very easy to talk to. They never treat you like you're just a number or that your questions are annoying - which is a HUGE plus to someone with high anxiety like me. I always felt very welcome, Dr. Long explained everything he was going to do *before* he did it, and if he had to switch strategies, he made me aware every step of the way. The testing to make absolute sure that you can't feel anything before he start a procedure, even if it takes extra time, is just amazing. I couldn't be happier, and will be returning to this office for ALL my dental work.

I cancelled an appointment with a previous dentist in Sierra Vista. I was refereed to Dr. Long by a really good friend. I thought it was a simply check up or cavities that needed to taking care of. They took X Rays and found out that a tooth needed to be pulled. I was shocked! I was hesitant to get the tooth pulled, but they told me not to worry. They numb me up to the point that I did not feel anything what so ever. The staff was absolutely passionate, professional, and took care of my tooth problem. I HIGHLY recommend Doc Long for any dental work that you may need to be done or performed!

Do you know why Dr. Long's practice is in Bisbee? Because he's an artist in his field. Super staff and the highest quality dental work. LOve Dr. Long!
