If you are a Bisbee resident, they know you on sight. The entire staff is most helpful. They have very interesting lectures and programs. Five stars are not enough to convey the excellence of the Copper Queen Library experience.
Arizona’s oldest library doesn’t disappoint. Lots of history, and a superb collection of books and films. Tons of programs for both kids and adults and it even sports an art gallery and seed library! Nice people watching from the balcony.
Friendly, helpful staff and it has been in that location for a at last a century.
Oh, and it's walking distance from a coffee shop and restaurants.
Most helpful and friendly staff ever. Open comfortable seating. Great selection of books, DVDs, audio books, computers, periodicals. Classes and lectures, children's programs. No end to the delights of this wonderful historical building.
I would recommend a trip to this library for the history they preserved about Bisbee, Cochise County, and in general the peek in culture and society provided by their Rare Books Room. They also have a unique feature not found anywhere else in Cochise County: a Pop-Up Books Collection.
