I purchased a book called Jealousy by Darick Spears on his website, which was a quick read about the ways in which jealousy plays a part in the human experience. The text is relevant now and forever as the book serves to remind us how we can live positively without the influence of that destructive emotion.nnThe reason for 4/5 stars is that the illustrations don't follow a cohesive visual identity and they lack support for some strong messages within the book. Essentially, the writing is insightful, although visual aid could be more customized to fit the narrative.nnDarick is a talented writer nonetheless and has the potential to reach a global audience with his thought-provoking messages.
Darick Books is such a cool and unique place. Darick is a self published author and this book store houses all of his original works as well as displays his incredible music accomplishments, and documentaries. If you're looking to learn about how to express yourself as an artist, stopping into Darick's books is a great place to start. Darick is a wealth of knowledge and you'll be sure to find a book that fits your favorite genre. Everything from children's books to romance novels and even journal prompts or tips for owning businesses.
It is my please to share with you the wonderful experience I had working with Darick while producing a song. In need of a rap, I supplied Darick with the instrumental track and asked if he would record one. He responded in twenty four hours. Within a week, he had supplied not only a rap but a wide variety of vocal tracks, including spoken word and melodic fills. His vision was; thoughtful, carefully crafted, relevant, and timeless, taking into consideration the ideas wished to be communicated in the music.
