Fantastic Public Library with ample seating throughout. 1st floor is great self service vibe and quite zones on other levels.nLots of students but many adults as well
Fantastic library located on the UWM campus but open to the public (check for hours open to the public, especially during COVID). Staff is great. Lots of seating and different areas to check out.nnBesides a zillion books, the library also has graduate theses, lots of sheet music, movies, and a café.nnIn the basement there’s a room with microfilm, plus several free microfilm / microfiche readers - two digital and two of the old-school type. They have vital records (births, marriages, deaths), church records, burial records, wills and probate, and tax records for Milwaukee County as well as some for Waukesha, Washington and other nearby counties. They also have many newspapers and other items on microfilm. All are available to be looked at for free by the public.nnThe third floor has the map room. I believe this is the second largest selection of maps and atlases in the country. The people working in there are extremely helpful. You really need to check it out — there are things you’d never even think to ask for that exist in there.
As of 9/29/2020 it's not really a place for group work anymore. But it has many great resources for students and is a good spot to get quiet study time in.
I have attempted 4-5 phone calls/emails to get in contact with someone at the company, no one has returned my calls or emailed me back, I have been trying to get in contact with someone for almost a week now. The worst part is, multiple uwm employees referred to the company... not a good experience and not something you want a friend to experience.
