Like others who tried to plan travel and had their trip cut short due to covid 19, I too planned a trip to Africa in May of this year. Obviously myself and two friends were not able to go due to South Africa's ban on US travelers. When I tried to get a refund for our airfare Custom Travel decided to hold onto their fee of $352.65/passenger while Delta gave us a full refund. SERIOIUSLY!nWe were forced to pay over $1,000 to Custom Travel for tickets we were not able to utilize. They should have done the right thing, like most ethical business people would have done under these circumstances, and refunded the full amount of our unused ticket.nWe have all taken a financial hit over the last few months. why should they be any different. They never explained to me that my ticket would not be refundable in total under any circumstance. I feel like they took advantage of me and therefore will never get my future business.
