I have been coming to this shop on/off for 6 years. This store is the epitome of a place that has not evolved and has been stagnant for years. You'd think they'd read some of these low reviews and decide to make a change here and there.n1. Back issues are GHOSTS. They have a few long boxes outside that are scrunched up together without prices. You need to take them to the register so owner can look up price. Total waste of time. They have more back issues but you have to ask if they have it. Another waste of time.n2. Staff (including owner) are completely apathetic and usually give out snarky replies to questions you have. Look, you don't have to like every customer that walks in your shop, but act like you want them there. God forbid you try to establish any type of conversation with a customer instead of giving them a scripted answer.n3. CHECK YOUR BOOKS BEFORE YOU LEAVE!! Even the ones at the counter. I've purchased a few of the ones on the counter only to get home and notice a significant bend, tear or imperfection that clearly should be stated prior to selling. Some of the comics placed in the new release section also have some dings, bends because of how the displays are set up.

This comic book store has one of the better selections of graphic novels that I have seen, with a fair selection of current issues, and a number of large statues.nnWhile they seem to have a number of back issues as well, most these are kept behind the counter where you cannot browse, and pricing seems to be determined at the time of the sale, allowing the store to change prices with the market. Unfortunately this also eliminates any chance of finding a good deal or hidden treasure, and takes most of the fun out of shopping for comics.nnIf checking the place out, be sure to bring cash, as they have an unposted $10 minimum for card transactions, and are not waiving it during the COVID-19 crisis.

Basically cheated me out a huge collection, gave me $50 for over 275 comics which some were collectibles and I know they were worth more . I have stage four lymphoma cancer and I needed to sell my collection for a procedure. I Wasn’t greeted when I walked in they all stared wasn’t really nice nor helpful . Would not recommend to sell here. Honestly I’ve been robbed and I feel awful about him having my lot of comics .I’m thinking about going back . I know every comic I had in that lot .I only gave one star because the store looked some what nice .

Just stumbled upon a really great comic shop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Collector's Edge Comics! From the outside, it looks really small, but it turns out that the basement, which you can't access, is all back issues. You give the owner, Steve, a list of what you're looking for and he does the digging for you. Normally, I'm not into that, but he was fast and found multiple grades of the exact comics I was looking for. Another, what I thought was, a ding against them was that the back issues weren't priced. Normally, I flee from shops like that...He then brought out the Overstreet Price guide and I was prepared to be screwed, but he actually cut me a huge deal! Steve was super nice and very professional. He threw in a stack of dollar back issues for my son and tried talking my daughter into some other freebies. The store was clean and organized. Recommended! Thanks, Steve!
