Before I even walked in the door, I was greeted by a young lady who took my temperature and gave me a preferred mask. At this point I knew I would have a COVID-safe appointment. Then from the moment I walked in the door and met Devin until the moment I walked back out of the door after the procedure, I was treated professionally and promptly. Both the Doctor and his assistants put me right at ease and explained what to expect. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs an eye procedure done.

Dr. David McGarey removed cataracts from my eyes. I could hardly believe how much better I could see. It happened right away, too. Colors were brighter and white was whiter. Thank you for taking such good care of me. I would recommend Dr. McGarey to anyone. Thanks again. Pat Bartmus

I had my annual eye exam which was outstanding and great experience. I have always gone to a least experienced Eye Doctor and I was surprised in the difference in service and care I received. The entire office was professional and provided outstanding customer care. Definitely will be returning and recommending Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center.

Dr. Palmer has always been the best and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I had seen eye doctors my whole life and the first time I saw Dr. Palmer he diagnosed me with glaucoma. I believe it to be due to how thorough BDP and Dr. Palmer are. He is really nice and always able to meet all my vision needs in a kind manner. A+

Update (See below line for first part): a second specialist Dr. from the same company told me to immediately stop the eye drops prescribed by the first Dr. I also went in for more tests and a procedure down in Sun city. After the tests and before the procedure I noticed excessive drying of the eye that had the tests dinner on it. I mentioned this to the specialist but it was dismissed. The procedure was helpful for a while, though more expensive than I was led to believe. Neither insurance nor Barnet Dulaney would give me an exact price. I was told that it was a simple outpatient procedure so it should be as much as a regular office visit. Nope. But now months later my vision is g going back to what it was pre-procedure and I still have excessive dryness in my one eye. _____________________________________ I have had blurry vision in my left eye for a couple weeks so I came in to get It checked out. The assistant ophthalmologist (not sure of her title) was super nice and did a bunch of tests and explained everything she was doing. The Dr. came in and diagnosed my condition based off of those tests and said they would prescribe some eye drops and get me to come in for an Avastin treatment. When I asked about this he told me that this was an treatment that involved an injection into my eye. Okay. Anyways, I was taken to the departing receptionist where I asked how much the treatment would cost. She said it would be up to my insurance and pressured to get me set up for an appointment. I gently implied that I would not be doing anything unless I knew the cost upfront and was basically ignored. I got the card for the specialist that does the treatment to discuss with them what it will cost and left. On a side note, since I'm curious I looked up the condition and treatment in several medical and ophthalmology journals and did not find either of the two treatments given/recommended to me in any of them. This wasn't a comprehensive literature review of course, but with the speed I was rushed through the treatment options it has made me a bit skeptical.
