If you catch Bruce in, you will get a tour of his downstairs studio where makes the stuff and if the weather is good, a look at his kiln out back.nBruce's pottery features wildlife and other animals, plant motifs, and is warm and somewhat rustic in character. I have a few vases and an amazing platter with sandhill cranes on it. Functional stuff like mugs and vases and platters as well as sculpture and wall art. Bruce Howdle is famous for huge tile wall murals, in buildings all over the country and I think it is super cool that you can meet him and take some of his handmade pottery home. I have also given the famous pig mugs as gifts and they have always been well received!

The mugs are unique - I have never seen anything quite like them, and they fit my hand with whatever would be beyond comfort!

What a treat! I (from Madison) had guests from CT and Bruce gave us a private tour of his entire studio, complete with narrative regarding the restoration of the building, as well as an explanation of his extraordinary pieces, big and small. Couldn't leave without buying a piece to commemorate our visit. Made our day!
