Excellent used bookstore; terrific selection of historical books and others, including hard to find books. Very friendly service. After I left I called the next day and they immediately located the book that I didn't buy but was thinking of purchasing; It arrived two days later extremely well packed with inexpensive shipping charge. Books are very reasonably priced and in very good condition. Not one of your musty depressing used book stores. Highly recommend!

First of all, this a review for their second location in Sister Bay, which is located in a shopping complex right next to the Piggly Wiggly. I didn't even know this place existed, found it quite by accident! But it was one of my favorite finds on my trip to Door County!nnThis is a small, used bookstore, with an emphasis on HARD BOUND books of excellent quality. Despite being used, I was able to find a few new books at deeply discounted prices, which took me surprise!nnThere is a very decent fiction section, dedicated to the usual bunch of best selling authors. The science fiction section, my favorite genre, was sadly underrepresented, with very little that interested me.nnBut what I loved about this place, was the incredible selection of non-fiction books, especially in regards to history and transportation. They had an outstanding selection in those categories, with their ship and train related book selection being the best I've seen anywhere. I bought quite a few titles, and only wished I had the room and budget to buy a lot more. Left too many good history books behind, but I'll be back!nnThe staff is wonderful, and so easy to deal with. Certainly worth a stop for all you bookworms out there. You'll find a lot that you won't see at the bigger stores that only carry the latest releases, and that's a very good thing.nnHIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!

Whenever we are on vacation, we always find a little locally owned bookstore, and The Peninsula Bookman has won a permanent place in our hearts! We go to the Fish Creek location every time we visit Door County. Great selection and prices, and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. A book lover's paradise!

By far one of my top favorite bookstores in Door County. The owner has the nicest selection of new and used books it’s hard to leave empty handed. There is a wide variety of topics and genres that are easy to navigate and find. The owner has also always been more than happy to assist you with something you are looking for. The perfect shop for the bibliophile in your family.

I love classic book stores and this fits the bill. Many great volumes on the shelves.
