The staff besides the vet are as helpful as they can be in the circumstance. Good luck being able to actually talk to the veterinarian half of the time though. You pay $$$ for an exam, blood tests, and other tests that the vet says they need and when everything comes back normal it’s like oh well don’t know what’s wrong with them. Not to mention I don’t know how you can do an exam and miss a skin infection on a dogs face and then ‘well I guess we could try some antibiotics’. 10/10 do not recommend.

We know that our kitty is at the end of life. She is 13 years old and has a tumor on her bladder. She has lost almost half her weight and is passing bloody urine. We called a week ago to have pain medication for her. They gave us an anti-inflammatory and a medicine to help with her appetite. I called to have a different pain medication because it seems she is in pain after only 6 hours of getting the medication. Their response was to try a new medication to help her appetite, try their special food, and/or a referral to a cancer specialist. My cat is in pain. We want her comfortable. What the heck?nIn a hot minute they will try any test, exam, anything. I get they have a business to run but at the expense of our pet’s pain?nI do not recommend this place.

My dog has gone her for 5 years. I was quoted $1000-$1200 for a tooth cleaning and extraction for one tooth. I called Markesan veterinary clinic and they took her as a new patient with a $50 tooth extraction charge.

My dog, Ellie May, went for her annual check-up. The dental assistant was professional, and knew a lot about Ellie as a guardian dog. I was very pleased with her treatment and conversation with me and Ellie.nI knew Ellie's gums were red & swollen. The vet showed me that Ellie had broken off her molars, probably from chewing on a door knob or eating through soup cans! I was able to schedule her dental appointment within days. The staff called during the procedure to keep me updated and get permission for an additional procedure. I feel the vet & staff are knowledgeable, caring and concerned.
