Peoria Accelerated High School

I attend Peoria Accelerated at the moment and the school itself is actually good. My concern is over the bus driver named Pam. Not only is she extremely rude to us, but she acts as if she owns the place. The bus is crowded, so kids are looking for where to sit, she will give you like 2 seconds to get seated, regardless on whether you're sitting or standing, she will drive. There was a time when a boy walked in the bus got in and just a second later she said hurry up and began to drive, the boy almost fell down since he wasn't seated because of her! Another time, a girl was on the left sideline the sidewalk, her stop was on the right, she just had to cross the road to get there but it was barely her first day so she didn't know. Pam told the girl if she wasn't on the other side she would drive and leave her there. Then another time, a couple was on the bus, the boy kissed the girls forehead and she said she was going to separate them. Now this is from my personal experience, I was on my time of the month and had to use the restroom, but they were locked. I was about to bleed through my pants and I was rushing to the guest restroom in the office. She came out and said what do you need? I said I need to use the restroom and its a emergency. She said well that restroom is not for you so you need to wait until the student bathrooms are open. Because of that, I bled through my pants since I had to wait another 13 minutes for the restrooms to open. It was the most embarrassing moment of my life. Please consider what other students think and say about her. Ask any student on campus, no one likes her. At the end of the block, make her a option for what we grade her and I guarantee it won't be pretty. Thank you for taking the time to read this, have a nice day.

As a student it is one of the best schools i have been to

As a teacher on campus and with 8 years in the classroom, I can safely say that PAHS is an amazing school. The staff is all top notch, the students are amazing, the school culture is 2nd to none and the success of our students as measured by how many graduate can't be argued. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if a school is public or charter. All that matters is if it is a good school. And Peoria Accelerated High School is a GREAT school.

The staff treat their students very poorly and if the students need some counciling, the teachers blow it off. The teachers also won't do anything about bullying and emotionally distressed students. Very poor teacher morale on students.
