I enjoy shopping at all 3 Willy Street stores. The staff at each are helpful, friendly and patient with lots of questions and issues with payment. I usually find everything I need at reasonable prices, except grapefruit juice. My favorite of the 3 is the North side one, because it's the largest and the most varied selections. I look forward to shopping in all of them.

I went in to Willy's to pick up some unusual items, and they had almost everything I needed! I especially appreciate the wellness aisle! Even though it was Saturday late morning and a bit busy, I felt safe-ish from the virus because they had a do-it-yourself cart sanitation station and reminders over the PA system to wear your mask properly and stay at least 6 feet apart.

Pricey and cramped... I have stopped going here due to COVID as they don't really seem to be handling traffic well. In addition you always seem to have to wait in line to get in the door. On the positive side if you are looking for something organic they probably have it and the fish market is the best I've found in Madison. Oh... and there produce is always great.

The store is always clean+organized and staff are very friendly. The layout is intuitive. I have nothing but good things to say about presentation and customer service.nnThere are loads of vegan and health-conscious items available, which I really appreciate. Produce has always been excellent.nnMy issue with the Co-op has always been the bill. I am generally very frugal/low-maintenance and hate spending more than I need to on food. I have seen a few responses to reviews that raise concerns over pricing, but they seem to be missing the point. Price-matching nearby competitors doesn't help frugal or broke people if the product is over-priced to begin with. The issue is the lack of a cheaper generic/store brand for staples/basics.nnSure, when I decide to treat myself once in blue moon to a monster pizza with a whole package of Daiya and beef-less crumbles, I expect to have to worry about how I'm going to keep the lights on at the end of the month (no matter where I shop). However, I will never be able to justify spending $3+ for a pound of rice or beans. It adds up very quickly and is the reason I choose to walk thirty minutes to the next closest grocery store and cut my bill by *at least* half.
