Easy in and out. Close to the Overture Center. I'm not too familiar with the area, and I found it easily with GPS. I didn't have much extra time to make it to the show and I made it on time. Great experience.

Across the street from Overture Center. Elevator and windows can use some cleaning. Paid $1/h on a Sunday. Cant beat that! Dont forget to take your ticket. Pay machine available when you walk in. If you're technically challenged, tellers are available when you drive out.

When it comes to big cement structures where people park their cars, this one is the most big of all cement structures where people park their cars. In fact, smaller concrete parking structures look up to this concrete parking structure & dream of some day reaching the same level of concrete-ness. But sadly, it will remain just a dream for all of those juvenile parking structures, as we all know that no other parking structure could ever live up to the Overture Center Garage.nnIt’s a little known fact, but the Overture Center Garage has been located in the same exact spot since it was built by the almighty hands of God Himself on the rarely mentioned 8th day of creation, as a fun little side project to use up some building supplies left over from the prior week’s construction job. God would have returned the extra supplies to the Heaven Depot, but couldn’t because a certain someone...cough, cough...St. Gabriel the Archangel...lost the receipt. St. Gabriel eventually confessed & of course God forgave him. God is cool like that.nnIt’s said that the parking garage was so beautiful that the Angels came down from Heaven to record a mixtape of their Angelic overtures, simply entitled “We knew God first, so all you humans better recognize and make way for us Angelz.” (They thought the “Z” in “Angelz” would add some street cred & help build hype, which of course is exactly what happened. Angels are extremely talented when it comes to public relations)nnThey held the recording sessions of their Angelic overtures in the exact center of the garage where the acoustics were beyond perfect. This delighted the Angels so much that they eagerly asked God if they could name the structure. Considering that up until this point God had simply been calling it “My Big Garage,” He gave the Angels the naming rights in exchange for a 25% cut of all proceeds from the sale of their mixtape when it finally dropped. After a quick Angel team huddle, they agreed to God’s terms.nnThe Angels had a brainstorming session to find a title to perfectly fit the much beloved giant concrete recording studio. After much deliberation & numerous chalices of wine, the Angels finally agreed on a name that best fit the structure in which they recorded their overtures in the acoustically divine center area. Hence, the name “Overture-Center-Garage” was bestowed upon the glorious beacon of all that is good in the world of acoustically amazing parking structures.nnIf you search patiently & thoroughly, you may just find the parking spot reserved especially for St. Michael the Archangel. I’d tell you where it is, but I made that mistake years ago. St. Michael gets pretty miffed when he attends a concert or broadway show & finds his parking spot taken. Last time it happened, I may or may not have slipped out the location during a late supper with JC & the boys in a Jerusalem Olive Garden. To be fair, it kind of wasn’t my fault. The only thing I had eaten all day was a few communion wafers & some unleavened bread. So the wine that Judas served hit me like a pack of donkeys rushing to find shelter at a completely booked inn on Christmas Eve! (I swear, that Judas can be such a total Judas some times!) As a result of my drunken gossiping, it ended up raining frogs & hamsters for 40 days & 40 nights in Madison. You don’t hear much about it now days because people don’t want to again risk the wrath of a grouchy St. Michael “whose feet are sore from all that extra walking because an arrogant human abused his or her God given free will by stealing a reserved parking spot.”nnIn closing, it should now be clear just how much this divine parking garage means to our community, our state, our entire world. In fact, it was viewed in such high regard that one day the City of Madison decided to build a theater next to it & name it “The Overture Center” in tribute to the existing amazing parking garage that was molded by God Himself on a lazy Monday afternoon in Madison so many ages ago.nn“So it was written, so it shall be parked in a roomy, safe structure for a reasonable hourly rate.”
