Highly recommend for any serious collector. They have a wonderful selection of back issues and the employees are awesome to talk to. Both are very knowledgeable. The prices are more than fair.

I loved this store when I was ten and on the hunt for EC Comics. Bruce was a cool guy in my opinion but with a huge temper. I stopped buying from him until forty years later, and was very excited to see this amazing store! Bruce was welcoming at first but I noticed he was increasingly rude with me. Well a few months of this treatment a blow--up finally went down. Bruce's anger was staring me in the face like venom. I was so insulted and hurt. Capital City Comics is an amazing place with fantastic back issues. Personally I'd rather shop elsewhere anyway. Happy trails Capital City Comics.

Very interesting comic book shop. Has a great selection of silver age comics. They don’t set prices, and you have to ask for each comic to be priced (which can be frustrating) but the folks working there are extremely helpful and kind. Highly recommended and one of my favorite comic book shops in the Midwest.

When I was a kid in Madison years and years ago Bruce helped me collect a 60s Marvel series called Captain Savage and his Leatherneck Raiders. It had some tie ins with Sergeant Fury and his Howling Commandos. He was so helpful to me in finding every single back issue of a minor Marvel series. To this day I still remember seeing the expression of delight on his face when I walked in the store and he had somehow obtained the last issue which completed my set. Over the years I always went back to the store and I'm so happy it's still around.

I have been a customer of Bruce’s since the mid-1970s, and continue to make the 2 ½ hour drive as often as I can to browse his unmatched selection of back issues, unique titles, and amazing statues. And just to sit and talk comics with someone who has been collecting for longer than myself and who is an absolute expert and treasure trove of information regarding titles, artists, collections, collectors, etc.nnYeah, I’d miss the kids and wife, but could get lost in scouring this shop for treasures for months on end!nnVery Highly Recommended & worth a trip!!
