Beautiful quirky hidden gem. Definitely worth making the trip. Very charming an eery but in a good way. Pretty easy hike and path was pretty clear.

Nice short loop. The wild mint growing by the old barn was wonderfully fragrant. The trail along the fields will be wet with dew in the mornings.

Short loop of the Ice Age Trail that takes you through farmland and deciduous forest. Good birding opportunities - there were Eastern Bluebirds and Rose-Breasted Grosbecks when I went in early May. Like most parts of the Ice Age Trail, it's a narrow path with steep inclines - not a good option for parents with small children. Also Dane County requires a hefty fee for a dog permit if you bring your dog. However, barely anyone uses this trail (there were 4 other cars when I was there), which is quite nice.
