Portage Flooring Store

By the sign on the door you can tell they do not agree with the public health mandate on masks. Went in the store and the staff are not wearing masks. If you don't care about your customers health and safety I can find somewhere else to spend my money

Not impressed. We made an appointment to have our carpet installed, (both used a day of vacation) They were supposed to be at the house around 8 AM. It gets to be 9:30AM so we call the store in Portage and they have no idea what was going on and said they would call back. 10:30 AM we made another call and they said someone should be there. Hmmmm. Here we finally find out at 11 AM when the actual installer (sub-contractor) shows up (no carpet with him) and tells us the van broke down. Understandable. No call back from the store. He tells us that he just found out that he was supposed to be here! Did the van really break down or???? This person did not know that we pulled up all the carpet and had the floors ready to go. He thought he could begin to do what they were not contracted to do. So he leaves to go to Penda and work on something over there while we sit and wait for the carpet to arrive. But what bothered me the most was the lack of communication from the store and to their sub contractors.. So we finally get the carpet here and it is 1230PM. Now the installation, It seemed to go ok. By the way, we had every area that was to have carpet installed cleared and no furniture in the way. As they finish rooms we begin to clean up after the installers. The installers finally leave the house at 830 PM. So we clean the rest of the night. As we look around the next day, we see some issues with some seams. When we get them to look at them 2 weeks later, we are told that is a 'good seam'. Our issues are still haunting us. The bedroom has a visible seam.
