After two and a half months, six visits, and four sets of lenses at Shopko optical I decided to get a refund and come here. How can I put it? One visit, one week later and I walked out with the perfect set of glasses. I only went to Shopko optical to begin with because it was the only place nearby that took my insurance. well the insurance didn't help with anything anyway so I will never be going there again I will just stick with my hometown optician here at SSM Health. I couldn't be more thankful I had been waiting so long to replace my broken glasses and these folks took care of me in one week.

I like my eye doctor and the receptionist, they are friendly and professional. I've been a long time a customer however there's a clerk in optical Davish Duehr Dean in Columbus, WI, she was so rude to my son and I. I had appointment today for buy frame/glasses. When we came I told to my son that we should look around what the glasses he wanted to buy. This clerk told us we can look but not touching their frame and we understand that since it's COVID-19. Anyway my son took his own glasses of to compare with their glasses, and he was not even touching their display glasses. My son took off his own glasses, and this clerk was yelling to us so rudely and acuse my son to touch their frame display. I don't think she need overeacting like that torch us and she is not even said apologize with her attitude. I work in heatlhcare and I know excatly to prevent spread. Maybe next time she need to said nicer and apologize, not yelling and being rude like that. This clerk doesn't have a good customer service. No thank you, not gonna buy any glasses in Davis Duehr Dean in Columbus anymore.

Dr Blavat is great and I can tell she's very knowledgeable and does a great job caring for patients, but she needs to either separate and open her own practice or replace the other employees there. The woman checking me in was verifying my personal details at an inappropriately high volume with several other patients very nearby, this felt like an invasion of my privacy. When I was finally checked in I sat in the waiting area several feet from the front desk and was treated to 15 minutes of Dr Blavat's nurse, the receptionist, and another employee chatting about DIY hair coloring, recent vacations, and their poor kitchen habits. When they finally wrapped up visiting with each other it's 20 minutes past my appointment time and the nurse takes me to the exam room and begins her part of the exam only to be interrupted less than 5 minutes in to take a phone call from another patient. After almost 10 more minutes of waiting she comes back and continues the appointment asking questions in a less than professional manner (lots of 'likes', etc) and when she was advising me of what to expect when the doctor examined my eye she told me not to 'freak out'. I hardly waited any time for Dr Blavart and she was very thorough in examining my eyes and able to efficiently and accurately diagnose my condition in a professional manner. I would definitely see her again if staff changes are made or she moves to a different practice.
