Dr rex carr claims to know all the answers. he will put you through all the blood tests and spare no cost to find it either. My blood test came back alot more normal than we expected. But he felt I still had the symptoms that he was looking for. So he put me on some medications that were making me sick he said it wasn't the medicine that was making me sick. So we went back and forth between the medication for serveral weeks. Dr carr is very hard to talk one on one with he will communicate with you his own way. If you can't switch up to his way of understanding it will be very difficult to get anywhere. Finally I had enough and stopped seeing him. A few weeks later I the bill for all this nonsense I was nearly floored, thank God insurance paid for most of it.

Dr Carr is very Lyme literate and has helped me tremendously. Contrary to what other reviewers are saying, his office is not at all dirty. I have used his restroom as well. As for his personality, it does take getting use to, but his focus and treatment methods are so worth it. I travel two hours, one way, once a month. I tried other doctors in my area and I can't imagine going to any other doctor for my Chronic Lyme Disease.

I read the reviews before making my appointment and made my appointment beside the negative review. He returned my phone call promptly. Asked me a few questions then asked me to look at his profile and links, which I did. I knew from his phone call he as nuts and bolts doctor. My initial visit was 2 hours long and very thorough and best of all I did not feel rushed. He put me on a stronger prescription which started off slowly to see if I could handle the increase, communicating through the process. On my followup which was 1 1/2 hours again kindly paced he reviewed each symptom I had. How was my Herx, how did I handle it and intensive discussion on the blood tests he ordered. He decided to increase my dosage again and this time I wrote down my Herxing symptoms for when I see him in Nov. I will not hesitate to refer him. He does work alone but so did my daughter's LLMD in MA-we lived in CT at the time. Oh and his reception room is very clean and roomy as well as the exam room.

As a nurse I was very hesitant to work with Dr.Carr. He sees things as a scientist and is very smart. He does not sugar coat things and wants to see his patients care about themselves. I have seen some positive changes in the past year after 5 years of failed treatment and medical neglect from other practitioners. Dr.Carr truly is my last hope.
