Mockingbird Tavern

We had a wonderful dinner out on the patio at the Mockingbird Tavern! They followed all COVID precautions and we felt safe eating there. Everyone loved the food! The salads were super fresh greens and the tacos were stuffed to the brim. The waitress was very nice and honest /up front about some delays in service. Happy to have another great restaurant in Putney!

The deck is very nice to sit at. It has lots of plants, string lighting and Tiki torches.nOur waiter was very pleasant. But when I ordered a soda water with a lime, he brought me a soda water with lots of lime juice.nOur party of 3 ordered 1 soda water, 1 glass if wine, 2 Pepsi.nWe started with Calamari that was cooked well, but was served with a tarter sauce like aoli.nWe had placed our entire order at the same time.nA little while after we were done the appetizer the waiter informed us they were out of fries, so we got onion rings instead.nAfter 45 minutes had gone by waiting for Spaghetti with sauce ( because they were out of chicken Parmigiano ), an order of wings, onion rings and fish tacos, I requested the food to go.nAfter an hour of being there we finally received our food.nThe waiter apologized saying the cook was alone.nWhen we arrived the entire place had a table of 4 inside, 2 people at the bar, 3 people on the deck that were done and a table of 2 arrived after us.nThe table of 2 received their apps and steak entrees before us.nI really wanted to like this place but after reviewing the food when I got home, I don't think I will ever return.nThe fish tacos were soggy, small and had little fish. The pasta and sauce was so blan, only 2 bites were taken. The wings were charred, yet still pink on the inside. The onion rings were good.nI guess if you only want a beer and onion rings and have a few hours... this would be the place for you.nI do hope they can figure things out.nThe total bill with tip was $77.00, and an apology from the chef.

Everything was amazing! The food, the service, the charming decor. Definitely recommend going here.

Amazing food! Quality and prices were great. Must try the smoked wings!
