This was our first visit to The Barn. We were very pleased with the safety measures right away. Reservations are expected. When we arrived we were greeted outside and asked for our full names and phone numbers in case contact tracing would be needed. Once inside we were seating at a comfortable table for two. The restaurant took social distancing seriously and tables were well spaced. Our server was polite and professional. The pot stickers were served very quickly. The flavor was great and the dipping sauce while thin was delicious. The salads were very nice and contained a nice mix of greens. I ordered the baked chicken. I was very surprised at just how juicy and moist the chicken was.nThe rest of the meal was good as well. My dining partner ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. His only complaint was that there could have been more pasta with the dish. He said that the chicken was well seasoned and the sauce quite tasty. The meal was a success and the price very reasonable. We will definitely be going back!

My wife and I eat at the Barn regularly and are never disappointed. The food and people are great and the prices are reasonable. Thank you to everyone there!

Great service, very friendly. Great food. Group of 4 had 8 oz. Burger, fish tacos, 1/2 chicken and the pasta with spicy provolone ( mac & cheese). Appetizer was the garlic fries. We had reservations . All employees wearing masks. Definitely will go back.

The ambiance is amazing, especially when there is live music or in winter when the fireplace is going. My family usually sits in the bar area, and we especially enjoy the burgers and the scallops. The bartender makes a great old fashioned!

Excellent food, real Vermont atmosphere, affordable prices. People come to Vermont for its beauty, yet few restaurants offer a nice view. The Barn is an exception. It's off the beaten path, but worth the time to find and enjoy. Steaks are reasonably priced and very good. The chicken dishes we've had were also excellent. The brisket burger is outstanding. Pair these offerings with a Vermont beer or a cocktail for an outstanding meal. The Barn even has it's own version of poutine (steak fries with cheese sauce and gravy) that's as good as any we've found. When you make reservations, check to see whether the dining room will be available; sometimes only the downstairs bar is open, and that may include live music. That's a great rustic atmosphere and experience, but you'd probably want to know in advance. We highly recommend both the dining room and the bar.
