Passing through on the way home & stopped here at Applebee’s latter part of the day on a Sunday night which I often have reservations about. But the servers were pleasant food was good. No complaints here. Late Sunday is when I’ve usually found where a restaurant lets it’s guard down after a long weekend. So I was pleased for a good experience & wife’s happy she doesn’t have to cook when we finally make it home. :)

Was hoping to have supper in the bar area Wed. night Sept.30 but was told there was at least a 15 min.wait because we had not called ahead . There were many open tables in the bar area and was confused why we weren't being seated immediately. I found it hard to believe that Applebee's had that many reservations at 5:30 in the afternoon that a table was not available. We felt the girl at the door was rude and would not even allow us in door . That is fine because we had a great meal at Hop'nMoose !! The only person who lost out that night was Cathy the bartender!!

Went here for dinner on a Thursday night. The service was okay. Not good but not exactly bad either. The food on the other hand was a big disappointment. My son and I both got burgers. One was good the other was dry. like eating a hockey puck. The fries were luke warm with so much salt that we didn’t dare eat them. We had a drink from the bar that had cherries. The cherry must have been old. It was almost like eating a candied cherry it was so hard. Lastly, we had the chicken parm. The chicken looked good but again was awful. Dry and crumbly. Ive never had a dry crumbly chicken breast with my chicken parmigiana. Needless to say, it was not a good dining experience at all. We will continue to go to our regular applebees but as far as this location, i would suggest going somewhere else.

Applebee's in Rutland, Vermont was a great choice for good food and conversation with my family. It was a nice, clean, friendly, and even in the midst of COVID-19, we weren't rushed, allowing us to enjoy our time together.
