Greatest ever. Walked from Georgia for the stew and Reuben. Repeat offender A.T. Thru hiker approves with double thumbs up. An absolute must!!! Thank you Long Trail Inn!!!!!

The best Irish bar in Vermont? Yes. The best place to spend on a cold night? Yes. The best place to spend St. Patty's Day? Yes. McGraths Irish Pub is a must see. If you haven't been to Killington it's worth the trip, and if you've been to Killington and you haven't been to McGrath's you need to come back. The McGrath family has owned the pub and inn since the late 70s. The Inn was opened back in the late 1930s as Vermont's first ski lodge for early groups visiting Pico Ski Mountain and the decor is authentic. History covers the walls and as you walk around the lodge you'll see how it was built around massive rock formations. The Inn is at the intersection of the Long Trail which runs the entire length of the state as well as the Appalachian Trail so during the summer months you'll often see thru hikers and day hikers meeting for a cold Vermont Half (half Guinness, half Long Trail). In normal times they pack the place on weekends with live music and a fun crowd. During these strange times they offer comfortable seating in a warm environment. While the music may not be live this year, the decor reminds you that at some point, McGrath's Irish Pub will rock again and we can't wait for it. Till then may the Guinness be cold and the Sheperd's Pie be warm.

It has been many years since my last visit and so glad we made it back. The Guiness beer and the Guiness Stew were spot on. Thumbs up!!!

Great service, awesome atmosphere, and delicious grub! Bob took care of us at the bar, and from the introductory handshake to the drop of our check, he delivered the best service I have had in quite a while. The lunch menu was mainly sandwiches and burgers and my wife and I had the pulled pork and chicken sandwiches, with French Onion soup to start. The appetizer was amazing, the sandwiches were as well. The music selection was traditional Irish, although Bob said that some were offended, we got a kick out of the lyrics. Anyone hiking or skiing in the Killington area should put this on your spots to visit.
