We've attended for several years. From colorful ballon asends, skydiving & one of a kind trinket finds, this used to be my favorite winter weekend. For 2020, we came in from Washington but noticed considerably less value in attending.
Weather often prevents balloons from going up. This dampers the overall experience and may directly affect how many people show up & overall interest & reputation of the event. We've also noticed less vendors and less unique finds from what we've previously expirenced.
This year, for the first time, there were also a few awkward encounters with vendors including a forcefull demo after vendor was told I was uncomfortable & didn't want to be touched, changed terms and conditions on something we'd purchased, & different pricing from what was originally quoted for something else.
What would have made this a 5 star expirence?
-Festival during a time frame that does not traditionally experience high winds, even if this means changing the month of the festival.
-Consistent pricing, information & variety from vendors.
BTW, the night glow Thursday evening was awesome!
This was a wonderful event! If you have the chance to go, do it!
Not much of a balloon fest in 2020 no balloons and a high admission price to visit a few high price venders awfully disappointed.
Had a great year 2019 for the balloons to go up
Not much help regarding the balloon festival...the festival itself was kind of a bummer never saw any hot air balloons
