Topnotch Stable

I cant Speak for that one bad review down there, but Rachel was amazing. I’ve done horseback riding, same price and can’t speak enough on what a memorable experience this place left on us. I couldnt Stop smiling. The trail, the cute horses, and the fact that Rachel helped us if ever needed and was a great person all around! Never have I had a better experience riding a horse, you guys rock!

I came here following the great reviews. While overall I had a decent experience, I was given a very tired and agitated horse (the poor thing had already been through several rides the same day). He wanted to either walk very slow or trot up to the next horse; no in-between speed despite me having complete control over the reins (I am an intermediately experienced rider and am well aware of horse temperaments). However, none of this was bothersome to me.nnWhat was extremely bothersome (not only to me but also the other riders) was that our guide (Grace) yelled at me to stop the horse from trotting and keep him walking due to the long amount of hours he’d already put in (then why give him to a rider to begin with? Shouldn’t he have been rested? I could have been an extremely nervous and novice rider who could have made him even more nervous). I brushed it off. The horse yet again started to trot despite the tight reins on him, at which point she yelled at me again and told me that she “doesn’t want to have to tell me again to keep the horse walking” and continued to glare at me throughout the second-half of the ride making my ride extremely uncomfortable and tainting my experience.nnI was visiting from Rochester, NY (~7 hours) and chose to come to THIS place for my experience. While I can’t vouch for any other similar businesses in the area, I would certainly recommend taking your business elsewhere (or at the least avoid Grace).

I took my girlfriend here for a horse ride while on vacation at Smugg’s. We had a great time and Grace was a perfect guide. Would recommend.
