We not only had an opportunity to sail with Ted, but also to take some of our sailing certification courses with him. Without doubt, it was the best possible combination of legitimate learning and a positive, fun experience. I have been sailing since I was young, with experience in the Great Lakes, Tampa Bay, Chesapeake Bay, and inland lakes. By contrast, my partner was much more of a novice, and had really only been on day cruises with her family. We both learned a tremendous amount, and came away feeling much more confident. I think this speaks to the talent of Ted to simultaneously teach to people of different skill levels, and make sure it's an educational experience for everyone involved. I would absolutely take a course with Ted again, and have in fact passed up on other opportunities just to be able to train with him. If you're even thinking about taking a trip or course with him, then you should absolutely do it.
